KEBELET BELUT YOGYAKARTA


A few days ago, Me-Tyas-and Julia had a chance for lunch in a place that specialized in eel as their main menu. We came around 12.30 and saw many people already had a lunch there. Actually, The place is not far away from my office and located near Balaikota Timoho Yogyakarta. Because of their specialty, they named their restaurant with KEBELET BELUT

Because we do not have much time to spent it here, so we just ordered our food and we ordered Belut Teriyaki /Bottom/, Paket Bejo (Belut Cabe Ijo) /on-the-left-top/, and Paket Belut Bambang /on-the-right-top/. All of the food already on a package so it comes with one portion of rice.

In my humble opinion, they stated that they have a specialty in eel as the main food or menu. Actually, it is a good idea to use any other ingredient (I mean not using an usual ingredients such as chicken, catfish (lele), duck and etc). They choose an ingredient that not many people can eat it. Honestly, the taste it's quite good for me but somehow I'm very disappointed with them because they do not remove the eel's bones. So when we eat we need to be careful enough with the bones. I said bones not bone. They do not remove any single bones from the food, so it's very uncomfortable.

For the taste, I can not say a lot. The Belut Teriyaki just so-so but for Paket Bambang or Paket Bejo, I do really love their sambal. It was good. Once again, the sambal not the eel :')))))
