REVIEW : CIAO GELATO YOGYA | PIZZA & GELATO

Hello Again!

Every week, we look forward trying out a new place wherein we can try something new or something familiar. Last week, we went to Ciao Gelato. A restaurant that specializes in Italian food and desserts such as Pizza, Pasta and Gelato located at Affandi Street, Yogyakarta. To those of you who love Gelato (Italian ice cream), this place might be the "the one" for you.

Here, you can order lots of different Gelato Ice Cream that can be familiar or maybe unique to your taste. They have three-favorite-flavors ; such as Dark Choco, Cheesecake and Mont Blanco but don't worry if you feel "heavy" with those 3 flavors, you can choose other flavors such as Orange, Strawberry, Guava, and Lemon (YOU MUST TRY).

A LOOK INSIDE CIAO GELATO

Ciao Gelato's interior was pretty cool. It was such a great fit with the Italian style. Lots of old pictures, vintage properties and they also have a big are for pizza oven fireplace.

Gelato here is dense but more milky than creamy. It sits quite neatly in a cone and feels rich in the mouth

The flavors are so single-minded and pure that I find they work best in careful combination. With dozens of flavors available in the shop's display case at once, you won't have a problem combining your own.

Pizza Quattro Stagioni
Crispy Foccacia

Pizza Quattro Stagioni means four seasons in Italian and you simply divide the pizza up into four sections. This pizza made with pepperoni, spinach, aubergine and mushroom. Not too cheesy, refreshing, and really tasty! If you love something simple yet delicious, make sure to order this one!

Crispy Foccacia

The focaccia crust was crispy and light. This appetizer was too simple because they only put salt, oregano and parsley.

Cono Gelatoria Yogyakarta

The number of ice cream shops, opening in town is just getting crazier and te creations are even more! Our dessert hunting led to this new gelato shop opened just a few weeks ago. Let me introduce you to Cono Gelateria ~~

Cono Gelateria located in Bougenville St. No 1 (Selokan Mataram) , the opposite of Mangrove Adv. Company and not far from Engineering Faculty of UNY.

Right now, there are 10 ice cream flavors available on the display right now (Top Left : Mandorla, Charcoal Vanilla, Espresso, Stracciatella, Rum Raisin, Matcha Green Tea, Ricota E Pera)

Psst! Don't forget to buy my favorite pie from Kebun Roti. Kebun Roti provide you a Sourdough Boulangerie diet friendly, natural and healthy bread. They also have another bread and you must try it! Mine was a Pie with Irish Coffe on the top! Nyam~

I know it's quite dirty hahaha but I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS! Mine was Charcoal Vanilla with Mandorla (Mandorla is Almond taste. Only pure almond)

PRICING? IDR 30.000 for two scoops with cone and IDR 25.000 for two scoops with a cup. It's quite cheaper than another gelato shops because Cono Gelateria is natural and made without any essentials product, and yes I think they're worth comparing ;')
