KEBELET BELUT YOGYAKARTA

A few days ago, Me-Tyas-and Julia had a chance for lunch in a place that specialized in eel as their main menu. We came around 12.30 and saw many people already had a lunch there. Actually, The place is not far away from my office and located near Balaikota Timoho Yogyakarta. Because of their specialty, they named their restaurant with KEBELET BELUT

Because we do not have much time to spent it here, so we just ordered our food and we ordered Belut Teriyaki /Bottom/, Paket Bejo (Belut Cabe Ijo) /on-the-left-top/, and Paket Belut Bambang /on-the-right-top/. All of the food already on a package so it comes with one portion of rice.

In my humble opinion, they stated that they have a specialty in eel as the main food or menu. Actually, it is a good idea to use any other ingredient (I mean not using an usual ingredients such as chicken, catfish (lele), duck and etc). They choose an ingredient that not many people can eat it. Honestly, the taste it's quite good for me but somehow I'm very disappointed with them because they do not remove the eel's bones. So when we eat we need to be careful enough with the bones. I said bones not bone. They do not remove any single bones from the food, so it's very uncomfortable.

For the taste, I can not say a lot. The Belut Teriyaki just so-so but for Paket Bambang or Paket Bejo, I do really love their sambal. It was good. Once again, the sambal not the eel :')))))

Mimikopi Kitchen & Coffee

Got invited for an early dinner at Mimikopi Kitchen & Coffee, special thanks to Julia from JDFOODIARY! Mimikopi Kitchen & Coffee just opened a few months ago and they specialized in pasta and coffee. I personally have tried the pasta and some snacks. Forgot to tell you, they not only serve you pasta and coffee but also another food such as steaks, asian food and do not forget their dessert.

Mayo Salad (IDR 21.000)

To be honest, I'm one of the biggest fan of Mayo Salad, so when the owner served this menu to us it makes me so excited to dig in! Their mayo salad was so good, a lot of chicken breast (I'm lovin it!), paprika, onions, also the eggs! For the price, it's cheap! You get a quite big portion with the cheaper price ;')

Beef Stroganoff (IDR 29.000)

Barbecue Sausage

Barbecue Sausage is one of their newest menu. Me and Julia got a chance to try this menu. One portion of barbecue sausage contains of three satay sticks and the ingredients are sausages, onions, and paprika. Actually, this menu was so good if they put other ingredients beside sausages and paprika. If they put so many paprika in there, the taste will not good.

Cono Gelatoria Yogyakarta

The number of ice cream shops, opening in town is just getting crazier and te creations are even more! Our dessert hunting led to this new gelato shop opened just a few weeks ago. Let me introduce you to Cono Gelateria ~~

Cono Gelateria located in Bougenville St. No 1 (Selokan Mataram) , the opposite of Mangrove Adv. Company and not far from Engineering Faculty of UNY.

Right now, there are 10 ice cream flavors available on the display right now (Top Left : Mandorla, Charcoal Vanilla, Espresso, Stracciatella, Rum Raisin, Matcha Green Tea, Ricota E Pera)

Psst! Don't forget to buy my favorite pie from Kebun Roti. Kebun Roti provide you a Sourdough Boulangerie diet friendly, natural and healthy bread. They also have another bread and you must try it! Mine was a Pie with Irish Coffe on the top! Nyam~

I know it's quite dirty hahaha but I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS! Mine was Charcoal Vanilla with Mandorla (Mandorla is Almond taste. Only pure almond)

PRICING? IDR 30.000 for two scoops with cone and IDR 25.000 for two scoops with a cup. It's quite cheaper than another gelato shops because Cono Gelateria is natural and made without any essentials product, and yes I think they're worth comparing ;')

GENTONG NASI BAKMOY & NASI PINDANG, SOY MILK AND WEDANG TAHU: ALL INCLUDED IN ONE PLACE

Hello everyone, and happy Eid Mubarak 1437 H, taqqaballahu minna wa minkum. Also, happy Mon(ey)day, again!

In this post, I'd like to introduce to all of you the place where you can find a Nasi Bakmoy, Soy Milk, and also Wedang Tahu, called Gentong Nasi Bakmoy & Nasi Pindang. You can find this place from Pasar Kranggan or if you have known Gudeg Juminten, it’s just an opposite from them.

the environment in the morning. Not much customers means not too noisy, right? Which is you can calmly enjoy your breakfast, oh yes.

Nasi Bakmoy basically is a kind of soup combination from broth and sweet soybean sauce, then added some rice and usually it added with chopped tofu which have cooked with sweet soybean too. It’s so warm and is a good starter for your day.

Nasi Bakmoy biasa, IDR 15.000, you can also added IDR 5.000 for telor kecap (sweet soybean boiled egg)

And for the drink, you can choose from the Gentong itself (like tea, or even liang tea!). But for this moment, I’d like to try soy milk, which the stall is in front of them. It called Soy Good – Susu Kedelai. You can choose an original one or if you like some other flavors, Soy Good also served a people favorable flavors like chocolate, strawberry and ginger.

Last but not least, the dessert! For completing my warm morning, of course I choosed Wedang Tahu, which the stall is also in front of Gentong (in the left side of Good Soy stall).

Well, that’s it. My warm mood boost in Sunday Morning before heading back to Capital J.

KIMCHIGO - JOGJA CITY MALL

A new Korean restaurant is opening at Jogja City Mall. I've been noticing that more and more korean themed restaurants are opening. These days, the korean culture especially from the culinary section is turning and growing through our community.

The restaurant I'm going to be reviewing is called Kimchigo. As i know, Kimchigo started to open their restaurant in Surabaya, East Java and since one or two months ago, Kimchigo officially open in Yogyakarta.

Chicken Dakgalbi IDR 38.000 (My Favorite!)

Spicy Mandu-guk IDR 33.800

Actually, I do not think that the taste is match with my style. When I tried this, the taste of the soup is kind of salty but if you curious about this food, I recommend you to eat this Spicy Mandu-guk with a bowl of rice. It can helps you to reduce the saltiness and actually the Mandu was sooooo delicious. I LOVE IT!

Jajangmyeon (IDR 45.000) -- For the Jajangmyeon, once again this is not my style at all

Finally, the last food from Kimchigo is Spicy Beef Ramyun. The taste of the Ramyum is good and I really like it but once again I can tell you, if you wanna order this ramyun or any other food which come with soup, please try to order a bowl of rice ;')))))

That's all from us, and I can say that I really like the Cheese Dakgalbi (who doesn't like cheese anyway :p )
